Botox & Dysport?

1. WHAT IS IT?

  • Both Botox & Dysport are made from the same neuromodulator called bacterium clostridium botulinum. Both block signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can’t contract, which makes wrinkles relax and soften. With this, Doctors can temporarily soften wrinkles and facial creases.

2. WHERE SHOULD I GET IT?

  • FOR YOUR SAFETY: Botox/Dysport should be performed at a Medical Clinic by an experienced prescribing provider (like a Doctor or PA).

  • Botox/Dysport can be very “fun” sounding because of the anti-wrinkle effects. However, many people don't understand that Botox/Dysport are prescriptive, and ONLY prescribing providers can offer these… always ask, “who is going to be injecting my Botox/Dysport today?”

    • SAFETY CHECKLIST: 1. MEDICAL CLINIC? 2. PRESCRIBING PROVIDER? 3. EXPERIENCED PROVIDER?

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

3. HMMMM…. SO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GET IT?

  • Getting Botox/Dysport takes only a few minutes. The provider uses a small needle to inject Botox/Dysport into specific muscles with minor discomfort.

  • It generally takes 7-14 days to take full effect, and can last up to 4-6 months.

  • You can leave immediately after treatment and can even go back to work if you feel like it.

  • Follow-up injections are necessary to maintain the results you want.
