What causes allergies?
Your immune system produces substances known as antibodies. When you have allergies, your immune system makes antibodies that identify allergens as harmful, even though they aren’t; this causes allergy symptoms.

Allergy Skin Test
A skin prick/scratch test checks for immediate allergic reactions. This test is usually done to identify allergies to pollen, mold, pet dander, dust mites, and foods. Skin prick tests are virtually painless.
