SUMMER SKIN - 5 STEPS

Imagine: The sun is out, you have a picture perfect pool party going… Next, your skin gets burned resulting in you looking 10 years older in your #summerphotos, all because you forgot sunscreen… “Ew, David.” (Schitts Creek, haha).

  1. SUNSCREEN

    • You hear it all the time, and for good reason; wearing sunscreen is the only surefire way to protect and prevent sun damage. ALWAYS apply sunscreen to all areas of skin that will be exposed to the sun.

  2. 5 STEP SUMMER SKIN

    • 1.Wash 2.Tone 3.Hydrate 4.SPF 5.SUMMER FUN!

    • When it comes to our faces, let’s face it, sunscreen (SPF) should be a part of your skincare routine year round when going outside, but ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER!

  3. EYE CREAM/LIP BALM

    • Sun exposure will thin skin and cause wrinkles. Often the eyes and lips are forgotten; protect the delicate areas of your face with spf, eye creams, and lip balms.

  4. DON’T FORGET TO MOISTURIZE!

    • Beach, Lake, Sunshine, Chlorine… Summer time brings lots of fun, but will leave skin much drier than usual. Moisturize with SPF before sun exposure (re-apply when needed), and use a richer body lotion after sun exposure. Doing this will keep skin hydrated, soft and as smooth as possible during the summer fun months!

  5. DRINK WATER

    • Obvious, but staying hydrated is an essential skin care step.

    • When you’re hydrated, your skin is hydrated! This results in healthier looking skin, and all you had to do was drink some water! :)
